Eid-el-Fitr: SEMBOL Calls For Prayers, Unity, Felicitates With Muslims

The transition committee chairman of Odeda Local government of Ogun state, Alhaji. Semiu Bola Lawal has felicitated with muslim Faithful and the entire residents of Odeda Local government on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

He made the call in a statement made available to Newsacross.com and signed from his Media Office, The Chairman urged Muslims to sustain in continuum, the virtues embedded in Ramadan season, noting that the self denials over the Thirty Days must not be in vain and jeopardy.

He noted that the present challenges are surmountable “if we all realign our character and deeds in tune with the wishes of Allah”.

He urged them to remain steadfast and prayerful in the face of the troubling disease, COVID-19 amidst other daunting challenges.

His words” Eid-el-Fitr is an annual event which marks the end of the usually 30 days Ramadan fast by Muslims all over the world. On the occasion of the 2020 Eid El Fitri, The Chairman of Chairmen in Ogun state has sent a message to Muslims, Entire Odeda residents in Ogun State.

The statement reads further, “I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to remain steadfast, prayerful and patriotic. The virtues of moderation, piety, regular supplication to Allah and being our brother’s keeper should subsist beyond the Ramadan period. Beyond this, everyone should seek to relink themselves to the path of the Almighty Allah (SWT) with renewed vigor.

Finally, he called on Nigeria’s across religious divide to be prayerful for the country as it battles for survival against the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We all are aware of the coronavirus pandemic presently waging war against the whole world, Nigeria inclusive. It’s effect on us as a people and even on the economy can not be overemphasized. I believe if we lend out our voice in fervent prayers to God, He will definitely come to our aid before the disease causes irreparable damage.

” Also, we should follow strict adherence to the safety guidelines and stay safe, wishing all the grace to witness many more Eid Fitr”, he concluded.
