COVID-19 lockdown:: Ogun Speaker Preaches Love, Selfless Service
The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon (Prince) Olakunle Taiwo Oluomo has admonished residents of the state to show love for one another especially during this trying time of the world.
The Speaker explained that the hardship envisaged during the Lockdown of the state from tomorrow, Friday, is a Sacrifice towards curtailing the spread of the pandemic Corona Virus in the state.
He gave this admonitions while featuring as a Guest Discussant on OGTV’s Democratic Path; a weekly public enlightenment magazine programme.
‘Although government had embarked on distribution of palliatives through some relief materials across the state, but love and care for our neighbors during this period would further bring succor to everyone’. He noted
Prince Oluomo called on well-meaning individuals to support the less priviledged, so that government’s relief materials can get to the down trodden in the society.
According to him ‘ Government’s relief materials are meant for those who don’t have any means of catering for themselves during this period, Hence those who have more should also support government’s efforts’.
He pointed out that government’s relief materials was for the vulnerable , aged , widows and the extremely poor people in the society.
While responding to questions raised by callers on the Programme, the Speaker enjoined all residents to be law abiding by remaining indoors throughout the Lockdown.
