Breaking: Laide Oropo, former Ogun Sport Council Chairman is dead

Chief Laide Oropo, former Chairman of Ogun State Council and politician of note is dead.

Chief Laide Oropo, a socialite in the days of yores who was highly praised by the accomplished Juju musician, now a clergyman, Ebenezer Obey in one of his albums was said to have died on Sunday, August 1st.

He will be buried according to Islamic rites on Monday at his Ijebu-Ode residence.
